Chris Thompson
Chris Thompson has just achieved his 100 caps for Yorkshire earlier this season.  He also played 56 games for Humberside before joining Yorkshire.
Chris who is 35 years old throws a 24 gram dart and is currently an ‘A’ team player.  He lives in York with Fiona and his 3 children where he works as a legal executive.
He initially started playing Darts at the age of 8 at home. At 13 he started playing for the local youth club team. By the age of 16 he was not only playing in senior teams but also won the York Individuals competition. Chris has just started doing the competition circuit again after an 18 month break and is sponsored by Corries Solicitors. His darting high points to date have been winning Yorkshire Classic in 2000, getting to semi finals of British Open in 2004 and having won 4 BICC champions titles with Yorkshire.
Chris’s low point in darts was on the day his son was born in 1997, when after being at hospital for the birth until 4 am he played in the final game of the season for Yorkshire which was the all important ‘Roses’ Match. Chris was last man on and we needed 1 point for championship and he lost.
His ambition is to play for England and also get to Lakeside.
When asked for personal comments relating to darts, Chris said, ‘I wish that officals on both of darts governing bodies would leave players out of their arguments, because players do all get on well together until politics come into the game’
As for my comments on Chris, he is a very fast determined dedicated player who is entertaining to watch due to the speed he plays at (but daunting to chalk for) whom  I am sure will one day achieve his ambitions. Good Luck Chris
