	Before the introduction of a state hallmarking system in 1881, individual towns had their own marks. The maker s mark was also required, Town marks guaranteed a purity of 958/1000.
1881	Introduction of a provisional state hallmarking system.
1886	Introduction of obligatory control of purity by a decree of 1 June. Permitted purity 916 and 833/1000.
1938	1 January: introduction of new marks valid to this day. The system of hallmarking has remained the same
