Åntidata is pleased to offer the original SilverMine©
program to our visitors. SilverMine is a standalone hypertext book
(©Åntidata 1996/7/8/9) Standalone means that the program is
completely self-contained with it's own integral browser.
The program is extremely easy to set up and use as a left mouse click takes
you "through" a hypertext link and a single right mouse click brings you
back. Once you have mastered this, hypertext navigation becomes very easy,
even in a document as large as SilverMine as there are on-screen buttons
to take you to anywhere you wish to go.SilverMine was started in 1995 as
an aid in the identification and study of the marks on silver. In the intervening
time, the project has grown to over 2500 pages with 8000 hypertext links
and 650 separate graphics depicting thousands of individual marks. SilverMine
also contains many biographical notes for the more important makers, a
glossary of terms connected with the silver trade, brief details of over
500 American makers marks,a bibliography, a full text search system, a
notepad, print options , on-line help and user defined colours. The document

The program is is in a self extracting "zip"
file. Download this file (silvermine.exe file size = 1.8Mb)
to a directory or folder of your choice (C:\Silver..?) and run it. It will
then decompress itself to two files: HALLMARK.EXE and GRAPHICS.EXE. Click
on these in turn to run them and they will extract themselves to around
6MB. You may then delete (or archive) silvermine.exe, hallmark.exe and
graphics.exe to make more room on your hard drive To run the program run
the file: silver.exe
