Cats and Elves
...and
the moon shone bright and clear that night, spilling its magical
light over the King and Queen while they stood in silent waiting.
Soon the cat appeared and its gentle words filled the hearts of
the elvenfolk with joy and happiness. Its wisdom could always be
trusted, its heart was pure and true, and to honour their mutual
friendship they vowed their nations should share certain attributes.
Thus it came to be that the elves ears grew to be pointed and their
eyes took almond shape, while all cats agreed to be of a playful,
though elegant nature, kind, but aloof...
