Who, Me?

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Andy Love. Married with two boys of six and eight (in real money!) and living in Milton Keynes, that not-so-much-a-city-more-a-state-of-mind place where the citizens whirl their cars round roundabouts among concrete cows!

I'm a librarian by trade (hence MVCDL, I guess) starting in academic libraries but gravitating latterly towards prison libraries. Having spent eight years at Woodhill Prison, here in MK, I'm now at Grendon Prison, near Aylesbury.

Otherwise I conform pretty much to the MV archetype.

In the early seventies I was living in Cambridge, working as an Operating Theatre Technician at Addenbrooke's Hospital. One of my mates worked at the 'Andy's Records' stall in the market.and would bring home wondrous vinyl including, one day, a couple of PA albums. It was love at first bar. I didn't get to see him perform until 1975, in Cambridge still and with CJ. I carried with me one of the songs I hadn't before heard all the way through until I discovered Steve's site a just few months before Buxton. There, in amongst the Aladdin's Cave of goodies, I learned that the song I'd remembered was 'Canoe'.
