Armstrong's Pharmacy was established in Gleadless in 1957 by Mr.Norman Armstrong and his wife Elsie. He opened the Opticians one year later. Alan Armstrong joined the firm in 1960 and was later helped by his wife Vicky when she also qualified. Their son Chris Armstrong qualified and  came to work with us in 1988 and is today assisted by his dispensing technician wife Jane. So we are truly a family firm. When the opportunity arose in 1999 to move to Gleadless Road we were able to fit our new Pharmacy to the highest standard, with the latest in continental drawer storage systems, air-conditioning and an automatic door to aid access for the elderly, disabled and mothers with children.
