1.    Photographs of the Abbey School from the 1940's

Mike Miller, who was a pupil at the Abbey School from 1943 to 1949, has kindly supplied the Association with some photographs of the Abbey taken during his time there.

There are also some photographs that attempt to show the modern equivalents of those views nearly sixty years later - as you will see, some were more successful than others. My concept of the geography of the former Abbey School was, unfortunately, not very good, so I took two of the modern photographs from the wrong side of the buildings! Nevertheless, I am leaving them on the photographs page, since they may yet be of some interest to former pupils.

2.    Photographs of the Abbey School from 1960

Jan Pettersen, who was a pupil at the Abbey School in the late in 1950's and early 1960's, has kindly supplied the Association with some photographs of the Abbey taken during his time there.

Those who know the Abbey well may be able to link these pictures with those provided by Mike Miller.  If these photographs stir some memories, please contact our Webmaster with the details.
