WHAT IS CONDENSATION?
Air with a high vapour content i.e. high relative humidity will cause condensation to occur on cold surfaces (e.g. glass), when the temperature falls, particularly in the absence of ventilation.
Our answer to controlling condensation is the installation of a p.i.v. pump.

WHAT IS ENVIRONTROL?
Environtrol 
is a loft or convenient cupboard (for flats, maisonettes etc.)mounted air cleaning device that continuously inputs filtered fresh air into the dwelling from outside. The only visible componentwith the "lofty" when installed is the central input diffuser, which is usually located in the central hallway/stairwell ceiling.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
The unit will help cure and prevent the problems associated with condensation in your home, providing a cleaner, healthier living environment for all occupants. The unit will help to prevent mould growth on walls, ceilings, furniture, clothes and curtains. The unit also eradicates the musty smells evident in homes with severe condensation problems.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Simply and very efficiently. Outside air is drawn into the loft where it is slightly warmed by the free heat in the loft caused by solar 
radiation and the heat lost from the property into the loft. The air is drawn into the unit, filtered and then ducted into a central area(typically the hallway/stairwell) of the dwelling. As the air issupplied into the dwelling it mixes with the warmer air you have paid for but are not making use of. This tempered, fresh clean air then continuously and gently dilutes, displaces and replaces the air within your home. The result is a home free from serious condensation an a more pleasant and comfortable environment.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO RUN?
When you consider the advantage the unit will provide for you and the other occupants, the running costs are insignificant. The electrical consumption is comparable to a light bulb. However, it should be remembered that the unit is making use of the heat in both the loft and at ceiling level that would otherwise be lost. Note: The thermostat in the deluxe heater model will switch itself off when the temperatures are such that condensation would not occur within your home i.e. during the summer.
HOW DO I OPERATE IT?
You don't. The unit is completely automatic, switching itself on or off as required to make optimum use of energy. (A thermostat is only fitted to the deluxe model and is supplied at additional cost).
- In order to remove the mould, we recommend that you clean the affected areas with a sterilizing wash. This will remove and kill the fungus. It may be necessary to redecorate, as the mould may stain some areas.
- Where condensation problems persist, consideration should be given to insulation to external walls.
- We strongly recommend that furnishings be kept away from affected area.
