Apart from the stone circle complex which encompasses part of the village of Avebury, there are the nearby familiar landmarks of Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, Windmill Hill and the Sanctuary to name but a few. Slightly further afield there are other sites of antiquity such as the Uffington Horse hill figure, Old Sarum and, of course, perhaps the most well known of British ancient monuments, Stonehenge.
