Not my car this time, but worrying nonetheless. This is a shot of the offside front hub of Vivian Meazza's Elise. As you can see, the brake disk has fractured around the "top hat" area, allowing the outer friction surface to completely separate from the hub, and resulting in a marked loss of braking effort. This happened under medium braking at Sear corner on Snetterton circuit, towards the end of a track day. Vivian is still investigating the cause.
Nasty - this happened on Snetterton race circuit!
