Operating System Upgrades

The operating system ( O.S. ) with a computer is the complex set of instructions that controls it. OS X ( pronounced O.S. ten ) is Apple’s ultra modern and sophisticated operating system.

Apple never stop innovating and they release major improvements to the OS every eighteen months or so and minor improvements every few weeks.

The minor updates can be automatically installed by your Mac whenever a new one is released, but at a time to suit you. Major upgrades should have a careful back-up and install procedure which some find worrying or inconvenient.

We can perform those OS upgrades for you.

You may feel that you want to make your Mac work better for you. You already have e-mail, but might like to add extra e-mail accounts. We’re here to help.

Do other people occasionally use your Mac ? We’ll show you how it can be set up so that guests get full use of your Mac and all the software that you allow them to use, but they can’t read your personal e-mails, see your private photographs, or access your bank accounts.

If you have children, we can show you how to give each user a special part of that Mac which is theirs, but they can share whatever you allow and you can make the Mac behave differently for each user as you see fit.

You can specify parental control limits for each child so that they can’t do or see things you’d rather they didn’t.
