The 2004 Tweedbank lad, Lass and their attendants.

The selection night for this years Tweedbank Lad, Lass and their Attendants was held at the Tweedbank community centre on friday May14th. There was great support this year. Thanks to the committee for giving up their spare time, and for helping the night become such a success once again, and for you for coming along. We hope to see you all on 3oth May.

Investiture Evening

(7.00pm in the Community Centre Garden)

     

 

The Galashiels Braw Lad, Braw Lass and Attendants were presented to our Principal Party to exchange colours signifying the Investiture of this year’s Office Bearers.

 

Family Bar-B-Q &

Open Air Disco

 

(Community Centre Garden)

 

This  followed the Investiture Ceremony and  the kids danced to Bedrock disco in the garden, and enjoyed sweets and juice from our popular Tuck Shop, the adults also enjoyed a refreshing drink at the licensed bar.

 

 

Wednesday 2 June

Mini Olympics

Organised by Playgroup Leader Sandra McGurn

(10.00am – In the Community Centre Garden)

Sports and Games with sweets and  juice for children under 5 years.

Junior Primary Disco – Nursery –  Primary 3

(6.00 – 7.15pm in the Community Centre)

 

Senior Primary Disco – Primary 4 – Primary 7

(7.30 – 9.00pm in the Community Centre)

 

It was time for the Primary age children to take the floor and dance to the latest hits from Bedrock Disco.

Thursday 3 June

Junior Bingo

(6.30 – 8.30pm in the Community Centre)

All school age kids can come along and

try for a full house 30p a book or

50p for 2 (Books are 5 games

Race Night

(8.00pm – LATE in the Community Centre)

Adults only

 

It’s time for the adults to have a fantastic

night out at the races!

 

£2.00 entry on the night

with all proceeds going to

Tweedbank Scout Group

 

Licensed bar by Tweedbank Fair

 


Saturday 5 June

Pavement Artists

(10.00am – At the Paved Area by the Loch)

 

Primary Children tried their hands with colourful chalks and a chance to make their mark.All participants received a bag of sweets and a drink for their hard work

 

Saturday 5 June

Fruit and Flower

Grand Parade

(12.45pm – Community Centre to

Tweedbank School)

 

Melrose & District Pipes & Drums will lead the parade from the Community Centre, followed by our Tweedbank Lad and Lass, their Attendants and Local Community Groups. All children who wish to donate Fruit or Flowers to Tweedbank Home, please meet at the Community Centre for 12.15pm where they will be given a ticket for 50p at the school following the Parade.

  

       

Fete

(1.00pm onwards in the School Field)

 

Stalls and side shows including a bouncy castle in the field. Activities for all Primary School age Children including, Tombola and Beat the Goalie. Car boots are available at £5.00 on the field. Refreshments will be served 

and don’t forget the famous

Round the Pond Race at 4pm!

Saturday 5 June

Family Dance Night

(7.30pm – 12.00am in the Community Centre)

This year  everyone swung to the super family sounds of Bedrock Disco. There was also a licensed bar, Tuck Shop and of course…

 

The Tweedbank Fair Raffle 2004!

 

You can be assured of a top night especially when the disco will be geared for the adults after the

raffle has been drawn.

Tickets are Family Tickets and

cost £4.00 on the night.

Grand Fancy Dress Competition
