                        Aims of P.L.S.G.

If you were abused as a child; YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME!

To provide, within Lancashire, facilitator-led support/therapy groups for adult survivors of childhood/adolescent sexual abuse.

Our aims are very specific :-

we do not provide individual counselling
we are not a self-help group

We believe as Trustees it is important to do one specific task well rather than try to provide too many resources and do the tasks poorly.

At the moment, we are concentrating on the ladies'group known as PLSG(L) but would eventually like to re-establish the men's group too. We are also hoping to start a short term group for carers [partners, spouses, friends, family] of survivors

We also run seminars and training for

1) potential group facilitators

2) people who come in contact with survivors though their work

If you want details of future training or wish information about in-house training
