Trustees

Currently the charity has 3 trustees.

Mrs. Janie P. Ogilvie

Janie is the founding and current Chairman of PLSG and group facilitator PLSG(L)

Janie was a nursing sister who was involved in counselling in the voluntary sector when after meningitis she was left physically disabled and unable to continue in employment in late 1987. Shortly after this she focused on counselling in the voluntary sector. She has many years experience of both one to one and group counselling. She has been facilitating a ladies’ survivors group since 1989 and was instrumental in setting up the charity PLSG. Janie is the founding and current chairman of PLSG and has led numerous training events on the work of PLSG in particular and sexual abuse in general. Janie is married and lives in Leyland.

Mrs. Sue J. McAllister

Sue is Secretary to the Trustees and the Supervisor for Group Facilitators.

Sue has been a Trustee of PLSG since the charity was formed and indeed has been supervisor to the facilitators all along. She has worked in psychotherapy in the NHS for over 20 years and also has a small private practice. She has been involved in psychotherapy and counselling training for many years. Sue is married with two children and lives in Walton-le-Dale.

Mr. Alan F. Ogilvie

Alan is a Trustee and Hon. Treasurer of PLSG

Alan , as Janie's husband has been involved in the charity since its formation. He is not a counsellor but brings organisational and people skills to the team. In May 2002, Alan became a Trustee and took on the role of treasurer. Alan is married and lives in Leyland.
