Martin has  lived in the St. Albans area for 18 years and so is very familiar with the city and it's history. With excellent literary skills, a fine sense of humour, and a clear public voice that has been described as being akin to a 'stentorian bellow', Martin can be sure of attracting attention.

In addition to his civic duties, Martin is also available for events and functions throughout Britain and beyond. Openings, Master of Ceremonies, Promotions, Radio & Television appearances, Charity Events, Twin Towns, Tourism, Weddings and much more can be considered, although he is not that keen on just walking through the streets handing out flyers for commercial publicity. He will leave that to the professionals! But anywhere that requires a loud, colourful and unique presence can be enhanced by asking Martin to help you.

Having said that Martin does have a full-time job as well, and so his availability is limited (especially with band and morris dancing commitments). He does have special dispensation from his employer to attend to his civic duties, but he does not want to push his luck too far! He is keen to support local charities and organisations wherever he can. The best advice is to contact him as far in advance as possible

Martin has recently been of service to such organisations as Marks & Spencer, Safeway, Homebase, Matelan, the Campaign For Real Ale, The Royal National Rose Society, WH Smiths, Pitmans Training and Patons Bookshop , in addition to his appearances for the City, Council and Mayor.
