ALL HALLOWS CHURCH

The church, dating from the 12th century, is built of local stone and has a 180 foot high spire. The building is open to the general public on a Wednesday when members of the congregation are available to answer questions and talk to visitors. The fabric and fittings of the building have been well maintained and are in good repair.

A maximum of 300 people can be accommodated in the church. Consideration is given to persons with disability in that there is a sound system, the entrance is ramped from road level, and there is an accessible toilet. There is a small parish office with a telephone (see 'contact us' page).

CONGREGATION
The Sunday 10am attendance averages around 115, and around 45 at the evening service. The 8am service averages 20. The congregation does not fully reflect the diversity of social groups found in the parish and several of our regular worshippers live outside the parish. There is a broad age range and recent years have shown a reduction in the average age of the congregation. We maintain regular communication with parishioners and the congregation by means of a weekly pew leaflet and the monthly Parish magazine.

CHURCHYARD
The churchyard is closed for burials, but there is a Garden of Rest for cremated remains.

The Annual Meeting of Parishioners was held on 28th April 2008. This meeting is open to the whole parish to attend, and at this meeting Church Wardens are elected. This is only a short meeting, followed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, which is open to members on All Hallows Church Electoral Roll. PCC Members are elected at this meeting. There are additional places for representatives of Deanery and Diocesan Synods too.

The PCC meets on the 2nd Monday of most months during the year. Copies of the Annual Report and financial statement are available in church. Copies of 'accepted minutes' of PCC meetings are held in the Church Office.
