FRIENDS of ALL HALLOWS

All Hallows Church belongs to the people of Gedling. Most of the building has stood here since the 12th century and it is part of the community's heritage.

As well as its regular services of worship All Hallows plays host to the local schools, the annual civic service and visitors from all over the U.K. and different parts of the world. The Friends have been involved in opening the church to the general public on a more frequent basis and educating visitors about its history and architecture.

Fund-raising takes place through a series of events put on throughout the year for the Members and the people of Gedling. In the past these have included concerts, quiz nights, fashion shows, and the publication of the Gedling Recipe Book.

The FRIENDS OF ALL HALLOWS was formed in 1995 to assist with fund-raising to repair the spire. This work was successfully completed in early 1998. The Friends have since contributed to the cost of overhauling the church organ. We believe that the efforts of the Friends are bringing great benefit not only to the people of Gedling today but to those who will inherit the care of this beautiful building from us in years to come. If you would like to support this worthy cause, subscriptions start at £5 per annum for an individual member, £10 for a Family Member (2 adults, 2 children), Small Business Member £25, Corporate Member £100, and Life Members are the previous rates x10.
