times, air pressure etc. An engineer is responsible for the setting of the
machines prior to any process being handed over to production.
QUALITY
CONTROL:
-
It
is often the case that several assemblies are used in the machine setting
procedure before correct alignment and
For
our inspection purpose the first off is regarded as a component presented by the
engineer after machine setting operation is completed.
Components used in setting of the
equipment, may well be perfectly OK, it is for this reason that, any part
considered OK are returned to the customer, separated and marked "COMPONENT
USED IN SETTING OF EQUIPMENT PLEASE INSPECT BEFORE USE"
Periodic
inspection is then carried out during the manufacture.
In
most cases and wherever possible ALS will retain for its records one pre-welded
and one welded component together with the first off test sample from each
batch. We will retain these parts for a minimum of 21 days after dispatch of
goods.
In
the event of any defective welded parts, ALS must be informed within 14 days of
dispatch. No parts should be disposed of until responsibility has been assigned
and the necessary corrective action taken to prevent re-occurrence. This is to
be submitted and agreed in writing.
