Welcome to the Bartrop Family Web Site. You  probably share our relatively rare surname or have stumbled here by mistake, but whatever your reasons, you are here now so you might as well have a look round.

There are three main reasons for our site occupying this corner of cyberspace:

1. To make contact with others of our clan

2. To get people talking and exchange information

3. To become the central repository of my discoveries and (hopefully) make it easier for those who follow my footsteps.  

We welcome contact for whatever the reason, especially long lost relatives with lots of money and no one to leave it to.

Feel free to make constructive criticisms, but please, not too harsh because I'm a sensitive soul and I may have to send the boys round.
