Child sponsorship is only one way of supporting Amala on a regular basis. We also welcome and encourage gifts into our central funds. These contributions help meet the costs of emergencies (such as drought and illness), overheads (such as teachers' salaries, electricity, and building maintenance), and any shortfalls in sponsorship funding. You may specify particular causes if you wish, e.g. improved healthcare, or supporting senior students in further study at college.
While we welcome one-off gifts, we would also like to encourage you to consider providing a regular gift, thus becoming a sponsor of Amala as a whole, a Friend of Amala. We request that all monthly or yearly payments are made by completing a direct debit or standing order form which we will send to you. This arrangement is the most time-effective for us.
If you are a UK tax payer, just sign a Gift Aid form and we can increase the value of your contribution by approximately 28% at no extra cost to you whatsoever. This is a valuable source of additional income for us.
