Liquid Jazz are a jazz quartet consisting of Andy Mulligan (Tenor Sax), Iain (Mac) McIntyre (Electric Bass), Frank Cairns (Electric Guitar) and Billy McGrory (Drums). The band came together in 2003 and have been regulars on the Scottish Jazz scene ever since, playing regularly throughout Central Scotland. During this period Liquid Jazz have made appearances at: The Glasgow International Jazz Festival, Blackfriars, The Merchant City Festival, The Brunswick Hotel, The Largs Jazz Festival, The Boswell Hotel, The Butterfly and Pig, The Callander Jazz Festival, Fluid, Brel and many more.

The band are influenced by a variety of musical styles including jazz, funk, rock, Latin and blues and by bands/artists including Steely Dan, the Yellowjackets, John Scofield, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Pee Wee Ellis, and Average White Band to name a few.
