Alloa 1-1 Forfar
A mixed performance from Alloa stopped them from gaining their first home win of the season. Alloa where very good in the first half, and could have scored when winger Richard Walker had two chances to score within a few seconds, the first rebounding of a defender back to Richard and the second was lobbed over the 'keeper only to hit the right hand corner of the post. Richard Walker was involved in Alloa's goal as just after half an hour he was brought down into the box by David Lowing, although his penalty last week hit the bar, Stuart Callaghan took the resulting penalty, which he blasted past the 'keepers left side. The second half was a completely different story, Alloa where too defensive and even if their rhythm was interrupted by injuries where far below par. It was no surprise when Forfar equalised with five minutes to go, with Paul Tosh the scorer.

East Fife 0-1 Alloa
Alloa recorded their first win of the season with a fierce encounter with East Fife that saw three men sent off and a penalty miss. Defenders Iain Nicolson and Scott Walker could have opened the scoring in the first half but had efforts stopped on the goal line. But it was another Walker, Richard who opened the scoring for Alloa just before the half ended, by shooting the ball into the left corner from eight yards out. The second half started well for Alloa with Ian Little winning a penalty when the last defender, Gordon Russell fouled him in the box, Russell was then sent off. Stuart Callaghan who had converted his previous two penalties for Alloa took the penalty, but he hit the bar and the ball bounced out to safety. Alloa's only bad point of the game came when 'keeper Gary McGlynn was sent off for a foul outside the box, but it appeared that their was an Alloa defender on the line, so McGlynn should have only been given a yellow card. McGlynn was obviously upset and he is reported to have damaged the dressing room door in frustration, if this is true he could be given a lengthy ban. East fife where shown a further red card in the 62nd minute when left-back Chris Miller was sent off for two yellow cards in the 78th minute. This was an excellent performance by Alloa, and if they carry on like this they will climb rapidly up the league.
Richard Walker scored the only goal of the game.

Although Alloa were on top for the rest of the half they couldn't get any more goals.
Goal scorers: Ross Hamilton and Iain Nicolson
The second half started badly for Alloa as Ross Graham scored from an Andy Dow free-kick soon after the break, but Alloa struck back just after the Hour when man of the match Ross Hamilton scored a wonder volley from 15 yards. The Warriors where lucky not to be don to ten men when Mallon appeared to kick out at Iain Nicolson, but escaped with only a yellow card. Alloa got revenge minutes later when Ian Little put the ball into the net following a goalmouth scramble. Alloa could have stolen all three points near the end when Jamie McGowan headed the ball fiercely towards goal, only for McCulloch to produce a fine save. Pre-Season Round Up
Alloa had a good preseason with Alloa winning three games out of four. The 3-1 win over a Hearts XI gave Kevin Kelbie a chance to shine with a fine performance. Stirlingshire Cup Victories over Stenhousemuir (1-0) and East Stirling (3-0) look to have booked Alloa's place in the final against Stirling Albion but, Alloa could be ejected from the competition having played an illegal trialist in both games. Stirlingshire Cup rules state that all players must be signed permanently for the club. Alloa's only defeat came against St. Mirren (2-0).
