James Evans

Goalkeeper

The former Scottish youth international goalkeeper who is still young, joined Alloa November 2001 when regular goalkeeper Derek Soutar was taken to hospital with suspected appendicitis. Once given this opportunity James excelled conceding 3 goals in 4 games, unfortunately for him Soutar recovered quickly and returned to face Celtic. Evans's appearances were limited, but and the end of the 2001/2002 season when Soutar ended his loan and returned to Dundee, Evans was given a new contract, and as a result may become first choice goalkeeper. Experienced goalkeeper Myles Hogarth was also brought into the squad  by Terry Christie and as a result may keep James on the bench.
