MARCONI 262 Radio

The MARCONI 262 Radio was introduced in 1933. It was one of the first Superhet sets, it was made before the invention of AGC and before the development of the multi-grid mixer valve. I recently obtained this lovely example. I had been after one for sometime, I just had to buy this one. This set belonged to a radio collector friend of mine who died a few years ago. It is in lovely condition and has been fully restored. I just had to replace the dial cord and put an old cotton mains cable on it. I listened to the radio for hours and hours, it sounds great!
