Who died at AMARA Mesoptamia when serving

in the 2nd Bn with the Indian Expeditionary Force/9th October 1915 aged 30.

wife of the late Major Charles Scott Jessop

Indian Army died at Crediton 23 May 1914 aged 83

Also of her two younger sons/CHARLES THORP JESSOP C.I.E,  V.D, A.D.C.

Of Panberry Assam Col Commandant Assam Valley Lt Horse

Died at Westbury Wilts 2nd July 1915 aged 56

JOHN WILLIAM JESSOP MRCS Eng, LRCP Lond

Of Horncastle Lt Colonel 4th Lincolns

Killed at Kemmel Flannders 4th June 1915 aged 54/

Only son of Edmund and Mary

Tompkins of this parish

He volunteered at the outbreak

of the Great War, patiently endured the three years and

Four months its hardships and dangers

And died of wounds recieved in

the fighting at La Vacquerie

near Cambrai on 8th January 1918

Aged 31. He is interred in the Cemetery of St. Severs, Roven

"Peace, Peace, he is not dead/He hath awakened from the dream of life"
