It has come to my attention that someone has maliciously been using my email address, anthony.cooper@virgin.net, to discredit and humiliate me. Judging by the hate email that I have started to get, I assume he or she is libelling me by posting very unpleasant, hateful messages under my name to the news groups. I have traced down some of these messages and he or she is even using my old email signature, therefore I assume it is someone that I have had a disagreement with in the past few months, although I cannot recall anything that would remotely warrant this sort of attack upon myself.
If you are reading this then it is probably as a result of following the URL stated in the signature that this person is using. All I can say is that I apologise unreservedly for any offence that the posting you have come across may have caused and that it is out of my control. By the way I have not posted anything to the news groups since December last year and to my knowledge this attack on me started around late January, early February this year.
Whilst I have an idea who is behind this, I only have (probably a fake) email address to go on and I have no real proof anyway since the said offensive postings are in my name! In due course I will have this account closed down and register with another ISP under a different email address. If you are a contact then I will be emailing everyone in my address book in due course.
If the perpetrator of these postings is reading this then please stop. Enough is enough, you are just upsetting other people by doing this.
