This generating facility uses a new fuel which requires special handling equipment and techniques. Chicken waste is delivered in vast quantities and is processed into the main boilers by a series of huge auger drives. The whole scale of this plant is massive and Applegate deals with routine maintenance, emergency reaction to breakdowns on a twenty four hour availablity basis and also contributes significantly to major shutdown operations. This service is available to any major process plant within emergency reach of our works at Thetford. This covers a wide catchment area including Ipswich, Thetford, Norwich, Diss, Newmarket or anywhere within say 50 miles radius of Thetford. Our engineers are all highly skilled in a variety of disciplines including General Engineering Fitting, Fabrication, Welding [at all levels], Mechanical [Pipework etc], and some electrical work.
