The problem with researching a name like ORLANDO is that it can also be a Christian name and

a search on Google indicates numerous places for a holiday, references to the HMS Orlando and

a passing references to the Shakespeare's play “As you like it”.

So far, what I have gleaned is that ORLANDO is the Italian form of Roland.
