British Milksheep The Arden Flock of British Milksheep was founded in 1987 with the main purpose of breeding rams for pure bred use and for use as crossing sires. This latter role is well known. It makes use of the British Milhsheep's predominant characteristics of prolificacy and high milk yield. As a crossing sire the ram passes on these characteristics to his crossbred daughter. The guiding policy of the Arden Flock is to maintain, over the years, the breed's acknowledged high standards not only of prolificacy and milk yield but also the attributes of the quiet temperament of the ewes and the vigour and libido of the rams. |

The Arden Flock is based at Rushbrook Farm, Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire. Until recently a commercial flock of British Milksheep cross Mule ewes was also based at Rushbrook Farm. This cross gave very satisfactory results with the ewe mated with a Suffolk terminal sire to give a quick growing, quality lamb. British Milksheep rams and ewes have always been sold privately from Rushbrook Farm. For
