In 1982 I bought Pernod, who was later to become Champion Ambassador Of Auldmoor At Arondyke. He in his time proved to definitely be an ambassador of the breed, siring many top show winning Danes and still remains prominent on many of today's pedigrees.

Joy Butcher (Daneton) used him on Daneton Carolina, of which I had Daneton Idaho At Arondyke who gained two Challenge Certificates and one Reserve Challenge Certificate. I then mated this bitch back to Pernod which produced Arondyke Aimiable Tanzie and she, in turn, was mated to Ann Foxwell's (Auldmoor) Swedish brindle import Grand Fawns Fobois of Auldmoor. This mating gave me three Pups, which I kept, and all did well in the ring. The two fawns, Arondyke Assyria (Bitch) and Arondyke Authority (Dog) won almost every dog and bitch puppy class and even competed against each other, but Arondyke Authority was also awarded two Reserve Challenge Certificates whilst still in the puppy classes so he usually beat his sister who didn't get into the ticket (Challenge Certificate) league until junior. I was not able to campaign the brindle (Dog), Arondyke Accropolis, much as I was busy with his litter mates.
Arondyke Accropolis sired Champion Arondyke Arnold The Bouncer and Arondyke Ad-Lib (J.W., 2 Challenge Certificates and 1 Reserve Challenge Certificate). Arondyke Authority sired Arondyke Aspect Of Love who was mated to Champion Arondyke Arnold The Bouncer who produced Champion Arondyke Against All Odds, and Arondyke Assyria was the mother of Champion Arondyke Astra The Nomical.

I have mentioned on this page a few of the dogs that have helped toward the success of the Arondyke bloodline but I feel bad about missing out many, many other dogs that have contributed to this end over the years and our thoughts and fondest memories go out to them.
