Greetings,
Can you believe we are already half way through the
year? This is the ideal month to spend one of the long
summer evenings reflecting on what your aspirations for
yourself were at the start of the year and asking if you
are at least half way there.
Ask yourself how you will feel looking back in December
and having that wonderful sense of achievement for all
the changes you made this year. Now, ask yourself how
you will feel looking back in December and grudgingly
admitting to yourself that nothing much has changed
(of course, there will be lots of excuses why). Which
would you prefer? Exactly! Take the necessary actions
now and allow yourself to feel great at the end of the
year.
| The Top 10 Ways of Seeking Assistance from Others |
 |
We don't have things because we fail to ask or ask
amiss. By crafting questions and requests for
assistance, we are much more likely to receive a
positive response.
1. Determine what you want.
If you can't create the right question, you'll never have
your needs met. If you clearly define requests and
needs, you can solicit others' support and help. Without
definition, it is impossible to ask.
2. Do it right. Find the right person, time, forum and
way to make your wants known and understood.
Plan the request. Direct, precise questions asked of the
right person, the right way are difficult to deny. In
fact, most people prefer to offer a positive response
when possible.

| Different Choices, Different Outcomes |

Many of us are guilty of not listening to the feedback
our actions create. If something doesn't work, the
temptation is to simply try again with even more effort.
The Thought for the Day recently addressed this issue
by reminding us that "Unless we make new choices we
cannot expect to create different outcomes."
What new choices can you make today to produce a
different outcome in an area of your life that isn't
working for you right now?
