| The Goats have been playing at Oxfordshire pubs and
functions for almost two years The line up above shows from left to right:
The newest addition to the band being John the Flute who plays Whistles, Flute and the Bodhran when he doesn't know the tune or needs to catch his breath This week has seen the release (into the outside world) of our third CD, a live offering called 'What A Good Friday' These will shortly be on sale at the Killingworth Castle, Wootton, or direct from us when we are out playing. Bearing in mind this is Irish music, we hope our second CD, recorded at Christmas, will be available will be available to corner next Christmas' market....... some things mustn't be hurried! Currently the Goats can be seen at Rosie O'Grady's in Oxford about every six weeks and every second and fourth Wednesdays they can be seen at the Killingworth Castle at Wootton- by-Woodstock having a fairly shambolic practice night. They need to practice every week but it's been putting the good people of Wootton off their food, and they do need to eat (said Dave the Landlord) This summer sees the band making its' debut on Wednesday 28th August at The Great Dorset Steam Fair. Yes, we know most people won't be there until Saturday, but it'll be cosy just you and us....... and you'll be sure of getting a tamborine While we're on the subject of kicking off events, come and see us at 2.00 at Folk in a Field, Hook Norton, Oxfordshire on July 6th this year. Our second year! This year sound checking with the great Albion Band who will be heard to say 'Would you mind moving to one side please?' Obviously much nicer than 'Who?' Where we're playing:
