Club RecordsThe Club records have been updated with the CDC distances - thanks to Debbie ploughing her way back through more than 10 years worth of dog-eared results sheets! Each page of records is now extended to include 10 to 14 years age groups, 15/16 years and seniors. The first page, for both boys and girls, covers all the freestyle distances, the second page backstroke and breastroke and the third page butterfly and the individual medley.
[Girls] [Girls Cont'd] [Girls Cont'd] Club Records NewsEight Club Records fall at Age Groups/Youth Nationals 2003Sam Taylor has broken six of the Boys 14 yrs records: 400, 800 & 1500 F/S, 200 and 400 IM as well as 200 Back records.Of these 3 were already held by Sam, the 400 and 800 F/S and the 200 Back. The 200 and 400 IM records have been held by Tom Mclean since 1994 and the 1500 F/S was set by Shaun Turton in 2000. Emma Whiteley has set and new Girls 12 yrs 200 Br'st record in a time of 2.53.50.Emma broke the record set by Ruth Thompson in 1991. Suzanna Kaminski has broken her own senior 100 Fly record.Sam Taylor sets four new Club RecordsSam Taylor has broken the Boys 14 yrs 200 & 400 F/S records and set a new 800 F/S record as well as breaking the 200 Fly records all at the North Eastern Counties District Championships.In line with revised Club policy all records must be set over the 'long course' distance and are now quoted (unconverted) at the 50m course length. New 200 Backstroke RecordAvril Kiritschenko has broken the Girls 10 yrs 200 Back record and has taken 9 seconds off the record set by Hannah Roberts in the same year.Apologies to Avril because she set the record in December last year and has had to wait several months for her achievement to be credited. New Club Records - May/June 2003Andrew Tracey has broken his own Senior 200 F/S record with a swim of 1.56.22 at the recent Rotherham Open Meet.Andrew also equalled Joe Leveridge's 100 F/S record of 54.0 secs. Katy Venters has broken the Girls 12 yrs 50 Back record which was set by Kathy Summers in 1995 and equalled by Sarah Rickwood in 1998.Katy swam a time of 34.64 (LC) to break Kathy and Sarah's record of 34.8 secs (SC).
