Lower Guest / Cancellation Charges!
Not only have many of the hotels featured here been inspected and
reviewed by our staff (often with information / tips on which are
the best rooms within a category to request). But you also get to
either book your room(s) with the hotels / villas DIRECTLY, or through
the fairest and most secure (you do not have to provide your credit
card details over the Internet) 3rd party reservations system around.
Either way, you are guaranteed the lowest room rates, deposits and
cancellation fees. In fact, when you book directly with a hotel
from this site, you will probably find they do not charge these
at all! Compare that with other sites that charge you large advance
deposits and excessive cancellation fees!
The area summary pages show you whether each hotel / villa is set
up with us for direct bookings or not. If they are, when you use
their reservations form, your request goes directly and immediately
to the hotel's or villa's own reservations staff. These hotels /
villas have guaranteed us the lowest available Internet prices.
When you select to book a hotel through our 3rd party reservations'
partner, you may be required to pay for your entire hotel stay in
advance (they normally require full payment 5 days before you are
due to arrive). When you use this company, you first make an enquiry.
Then they will advise you if the selected hotel room is available.
If it is, they will invite you to make a confirmed booking by e-mail,
phone or fax. If you make a reservation through them, as long as
you give at least 4 days
cancellation notice, there are normally no penalties (after that,
they generally require 1 night's penalty charge, no more).
We also work with a local villa management agent in Bali for some
of our villa offerings. Their requirements are shown on each of
the appropriate, clearly marked villa pages.
This service and it's associated Travel Forum was started by a regular
visitor to the paradise island (Mark Austin), who wanted to advance
book the very best rooms for himself, but disliked having to pay
everything in advance to a 3rd party travel agent (who might not
have the necessary stability / insurance) and by credit card over
the Internet!
