Pay Balinese Hoteliers, Not Travel Agents!
Correct! All of the hotels and villas shown with a
next to their details on our area summaries / directories, allow
you to make your reservation directly with them, and also pay them
directly. Be careful of travel agents! Read some of the shameful
stories here on The
Bali & Lombok Travel Forum's Name & Shame.
Typically, with us, this means you will not be required to pay a
deposit (although some hotels require this, often just one night's
reservation charge during peak seasons). That puts you in a much
better position when you arrive at the hotel and ask for the best
room (if you haven't already arranged this with the hotel - after
all, you will be confirming your reservation directly with them,
not an agent). Or if, heaven's forbid, the hotel does not live up
to it's claimed quality etc.
It also means your credit card details are not in the hands of and
at the mercy of a 3rd party travel agent.
If the hotel or villa does not have a palm tree next to it
on the directory page(s), you know that your booking and payments
will go through / to an agent, not the hotel / villa directly. We
have taken great care to try and bring you the "Best of the
bunch", which means the lowest deposits and most favourable
cancellation terms (in addition to great hotels / villas and the
best rates).
