NEWSFLASH - D & P Equestrian change of direction.
As from 28th September 2006 we shall not be operating as a riding establishment.
We have decided to concentrate on breeding horses, so watch this space to see how we are doing.
We would like to thank all our customers past and present for their support and wish you all many more happy years of horse riding.

We have had a number of articles written about us over the past few years in various magazines and papers:

  • In January 1998 we made the Horse and Hounds' Top Ten U.K. Riding Locations, and John Ruler, travel writer and journalist has commented on us as "some of the finest riding I have experienced". We hope you will also come and join us and experience it for yourself.
  • In January 1999 we were featured on BBC2 in "The Travel Show", in a piece they did on the Carlisle & Settle Railway in the Eden Valley. The presenter, Juliet Morris, rode with us. She commented that "she wished she could have spent more time exploring the fells on horseback" and that "the whole area is perfect for riding and walking".
  • In November 1999 Stephanie Merritt featured us in the lead article of the Observer "Escape" section - "It is the perfect location for trekking, undoubtedly the best way to view the countryside."
  • We had two super articles about us published in "The Times" and "The Field", in March 2000.
  • In October 2000 we also had a two page feature in "Horse and Rider" magazine, when Jenni McPherson found "a riding weekend in the glorious Yorkshire Dales the perfect antidote to London life".
  • June 2002 we were featured on the front page of the Times Travel section when Derby winner ex-Champion Jockey Eddie Hide and his son rode with us.
  • June 2003 we appeared in the Observer, Escape section, as one of the Fifty Best British Breaks.
  • In the February 2004 copy of Horse and Rider magazine we featured in John Ruler's article "Best of British"
  • We feature in Julie Miller's new book "Great Horse Trails of the World", published December 2004. There is a good description of the Wild Boar Fell Trail Ride, although the accompanying photographs are not of us.
  • In the October 2005 issue of the Canadian magazine "Horse Country" we feature in a superb article titled "Riding High in the UK"
