The Trail Rides

We offer riding for experienced riders in some of the most beautiful unspoilt countryside in Great Britain. From the majestic Howgill Fells on the borders of Cumbria and Yorkshire into some of the most picturesque Dales and valleys of the surrounding area. Following bridleways, ancient drover roads and byways, capturing the peace and tranquillity of the area with its beauty and wildlife.

Because of the popularity of our two day trail riding holidays we are now offering three different two day trail rides.

The Fat Lamb Country Inn Trail Ride offers one to three night's en-suite accommodation with excellent food at the Fat Lamb which is set in magnificent open countryside with superb two day trail ride.

The Crosby Garrett Trail Ride is also a two day trail ride with one night's accommodation in Crosby Garrett at Croft Farm, a working farm in the middle of the village, providing a comfortable Bed and Breakfast; for your evening meal you will visit the nearby Market Town of Kirkby Stephen.

The Barbon Inn Trail Ride offers for the first time a ride to the south west of Low Haygarth to the picturesque Barbon Inn, a 17th Century Coaching Inn with comfortable en-suite accommodation and a reputation for good food.

The Wild Boar Fell Ride is a three day ride covering the route of the Fat Lamb Ride with an extra day's riding taking us over Wild Boar Fell, along the Mallerstang Valley and back to the Fat Lamb

We are happy to tailor rides to suit your holiday arrangements. For instance, incorporate a day ride and some of our shorter rides in a weeks' holiday, then take a break and have a sightseeing trip around the Dales or Lake District, both of which are within easy reach of Low Haygarth.

We also currently offer holidays in conjunction with Unicorn Trails of Bedfordshire, UK,  and Equitours of Wyoming U.S.A.

We wish our rides to be an experience that you will enjoy and never forget and return to sample again. Our parties are small, no more than six plus a guide, as we wish to maintain quality not quantity.
