BARDEN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION - RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. All membership fees must be paid before June 1st each year 2. All group leaders MUST sign in 3. All use must be paid for in advance. This includes 10-week block bookings. Groups who do not pay in advance risk losing their slot to the next group on the waiting list. Any letters sent for occasional arrears will be charged at £20.00 per letter. PLEASE NOTE : ANY CHANGE OF LEADER DETAILS MUST BE IN WRITING 4. All use MUST be booked through the office and confirmed by the office staff. Junior groups on concessionary rates MUST notify the Association if they do not intend to use any slots within a block; so these can be offered for casual use. Failure to notify the Community Office in writing (7 days beforehand) will result in the group’s slot being offered to the next group on the waiting list. This was agreed at the Association meeting 11 February 99 5. Credits cannot be given against cancellations that have been confirmed and invoiced previously. All sessions booked, but not used will be charged for. Please note: a maximum of 4 cancellations per block are permitted, but these must be noted on your pending booking form. If the whole slot is not required, this is offered to the next group on the waiting list. 6. Supervisory staff have the authority to refuse admission and request that users leave the premises 7. No one must enter the Gymnasium or the Sports Hall unless wearing the correct footwear 8. Spectators are NOT catered for in any area unless by prior arrangement 9. No drinks, and no food are allowed in either the Sports Hall ,Gymnasium or in the Main Hall 10. Smoking is forbidden in any area 11. Large items of equipment must not be dragged across any surface. These items must be moved using the trolleys provided 12. NO BALL GAMES ARE ALLOWED IN THE GYMNASIUM OR MAIN HALL UNLESS AGREED AT TIME OF BOOKING IN ADVANCE BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE 13. All items of equipment must be returned to the storage area after use 14. Any gymnastic sessions must have a qualified instructor present at all times 15. All groups must be clear of the premises no later than fifteen minutes after their session has ended 16. All groups who use our facilities must take out public liability insurance cover for the activity they are participating in. This will become mandatory from 1 October 2005. Your original certificate must be taken to the community office for a copy to be taken. 17. Barden Community Association, Barden High School or Lancashire County Council cannot be held liable for any injury which occurs whilst participating in any sporting activities 18. Barden Community Association cannot be held liable for any theft or damage caused to property left unattended in any area of the building or surrounding grounds 19. FIRE DOORS MUST ONLY BE USED IN EMERGENCIES AND IN NO OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES 20. ALL WEATHER PITCH i. No foodstuffs, drinks, chewing gum or glassware allowed on the pitch at any time ii. No smoking iii. No studded boots, spikes or hard heeled footwear. No muddy footwear 21. EVENTS Any group booking competitions or events must fund a 2nd Supervisor, to be on duty for part of the booking time; at the relevant rate of pay i.e. time and a half on Saturdays or double time on Sundays.
