Five
Modules
Each module will be delivered over three 2hr
sessions.
Module One
is aimed at participants who have little or no experience of using
computers. The main aim of
the sessions will be to increase the confidence of participants and give
them the basic skills to operate a computer.
The major program focus will be word processing.
Module Two
is suitable for participants who have some knowledge of computers and
wish to learn the basic skills of desktop publishing.
The course will aim to ensure that participants have the basic
DTP skills required to gain full benefit from a Learning Network
Programme.
Module Three
is suitable for participants who have some knowledge of computers and
wish to learn the basic skills necessary to produce a multimedia
presentation using classroom computers.
The course will aim to ensure that participants have the basic
presentation skills required to gain full benefit from a Learning
Network Programme.
Module Four
is suitable for participants who have some knowledge of computers and
wish to learn the basic skills necessary to produce a spreadsheet using
classroom computers. The
course will aim to ensure that participants have the basic skill
required to gain full benefit from a Learning Network Programme.
Module Five
is suitable for participants who wish to learn the basic skills of
emailing and using the Internet. BGfL
will be used as the email program and the starting point for web
searches. The course will
also cover the use of other email programs such as Outlook Express. The
course will aim to ensure that participants have the basic Internet
skills required to gain full benefit from a Learning Network Programme.
Module Six
is suitable for participants who have some knowledge of computers and
wish to learn the basic skills necessary to produce a web site using
classroom computers.
