HERZOG THE MAGIC
HEDGEHOG
Herzog the magic hedgehog
Has such twinkly toes
He it is who visits
you each Christmas
To make sure that Santa
knows
What it is you'd like
from Santa's sackful
Is it this or that
or these or those
He relies on him when
he
Squeezes down the chim'ney
And brings the gift
that Herzog chose
Herzog the magic hedgehog
Is someone noone ever
does see
He doesn't let you
know when he's arriving
He keeps it all a mystery
Do not bother looking
from the window
He does not come by
land or air or sea
Quicker than you think
he'll give his toes a twinkle
And pop up in your
Christmas tree
Herzog the magic hedgehog
Makes all his prickles
look green
So that he can hide
among the branches
Unexpected unsuspected
and unseen
Making checks on everyone
each Christmas
In Trafalgar Square
he does it for the Queen
And though you'll never
find him, he always leaves behind him
A twinkly star to let
you know he's been
Herzog the magic hedgehog
Has such twinkly eyes
He can see exactly
what you're thinking
And work out what would
make a nice surprise
What it is you'd like
from Santa's sackful
Is it this or that
or these or those
So when you hear the
reindeer canter
You'll know it must
be Santa
With just the gift
that Herzog chose
