This tutorial will show you how to build a reasonably cheap adaptor to use any 3.5mm 3-Pole jacks PC compatible headset with your PSP. Please note that for obvious reasons modern USB PC headsets will not be compatible with this adapter.

Providing you have a homebrew-compatible PSP then you will be able to use your existent PC Headset with cool homebrew software such as:


You will also be able to use your PC microphone headset, even if you just have a PSP running official firmware, to play any multiplayer game online which support microphone (eg. SOCOM) or simply to chat via Skype for instance. This way you will not have to pay an excessive amount of money to SONY to get the official microphone headset to play with your PSP ;).
