Introduction
We are a friendly informal group with kayak race training (see the Training page) provided for those who want it or members can paddle their own training program.
We are active in UK kayak racing events including distance races such as the Cheshire Ring (97 miles) and the Devizes to Westminster race (125 miles) as well as some members competing in local and national sprint events.
We hold a regular Hare and Hounds race, usually on the second Sunday of each month.
Useful Racing-related Stuff
- Robin Avery has provided an excellent short guide to race training. Although primarily aimed at sprint racing, it is also of benefit to marathon paddlers.
