Sue's Fabric 'Get Well Card'!!!

Having been ill with an unidentified lung problem from the previous September, on 1st March 2004 I got the results from a PET scan... It was not good news as they suspected Cancer.. :-( And scheduled me for 'major' surgery for 23rd March. The waiting was horrendous... I went in the day before for prepatory stuff including an Xray... Well, miracles do happen - after much debate from the team of specialists, it was decided it was not the "Big C" as the "shadow" had shrunk.. Blessed be!! I was sent home... but scary times!!!

Meanwhile unbeknown to me, Karey Solomon had contacted people, known and unknown, to help with this beautiful quilt. She must have spent many a sleepless night stitching & patching & emailing...

The first I knew about it on the Wednesday after I'd been sent home was a card through my letterbox from the Post Office telling me a "parcel to collect" ... The next day I struggled home with this enormouse box saying "Fabric Get Well Card" on the customs declaration form? <duh!> What do I want fabric for Karey??? Least to say I rushed home and shred, tear - couldn't get in it fast enough :-))
Inside was this beautiful and very special gift... Was I overwhelmed or what???
They had turned it around in a little over three weeks! My eyes still fill when I look at it - so very precious it is... Thank you all.
