Stated at the wings using a mock ring, beads are added over inverted
chains (see "New Dimensions in Tatting" by Haan-van Beek).
The head is
worked next with beads on the core thread for eyes, then an unflipped
ds
into a chain with long picots for the legs ending with beads on the
auxiliary
thread for the tail
An ideal pattern for emptying shuttles & using up them odd beads :-)
