This critter uses split rings – one being uneven.  Beads are used in place of picots for eyes & two different joins are used.
Josephine knots closed flat for the antennae

2 Shuttles
2 beads for eyes
Picot gauge 4 cm for legs used vertically

Load about 1.1/2 yards Sh#1 & 1 yard Sh#2 with a bead on each shuttle
  
Start at left wing
R1:    8 --- 4 --- 4 --- 6 vsp 2 vsp 4 vsp 4 vsp 4 vsp 6 clr RW
  Ch:    3 - 3 RW
SR2:    6 + (last vsp R1) 4 + (next vsp) 4 + (next vsp) 4 + (next vsp) 2 // 8 --- 4 --- 4 --- 6 clr DNRW
Bring up one bead for left eye
SR3:    6 + (vsp R1) 5 B (from hand) 3// 6 B (bring down B from Sh#2) 3 clr 
 Antennae
Sh#1 Leave a space & work JK4 (2nd half stitches but close flat - see sketch)
Sh#2 Leave equal space & work JK4 (1st half stitches but close flat)
Trim ends even

Finishing
Knot legs a little from end of picot and trim close for claws
Pull to shape & stiffen if desired
