Simple ring
& chain butterfly this time with a button for the head
Multiple beads
are used on picots for the wings & a picot gauge for
legs with a chain for the tail
Wind about
1.1/2 yards on shuttle & load with 3” beads (approx. 50)
Picot gauge 2”
used horizontal
Leave a 12”
tail & bring all 50 beads onto thread around hand
R: 10 --- 1 ---
1 --- 8 + (1st hole) 1 + (2nd hole) 6 <25B> 2
<25B> 6 clr RW
Note: Pull picot beads very
tight
before working
next ds or wings will be floppy!
Ch: 10
lock & cut threads
Finishing
make
overhand knot
at knee level for each leg
Button
Join
Insert hook
into buttonhole & pull up loop of thread
Post shuttle
through this loop, tension & then make a full ds after
