The
critter’s body
ring is unusual in that it’s made entirely from unflipped stitches
(like the 2nd side of a split ring) with rings thrown off for the eyes
that carry beads on the core thread. Two types of joins are used| Finishing Put a blob of glue at the back of the work, between eyes where threads exit the ring. Allow to dry Cut the shuttle thread not the starting tail (or the ring will open) Also dab glue at the base of each long picot & allow to dry. Cut these close to ring at one side of each picot (see sketch) Make an overhand knot at knee level for each leg. Trim legs even Legs require stiffening to fix in place |
