Marie is shown living at Middlesbrough with her parents and siblings at 114 Union Street, Linthorpe (1891), and at 231 Linthorpe Road (1901)

Her Probate shows: "Marie Elizabeth Ellerton of 31 Westfield Way, Dormanston, Redcar, Yks., spinster, died 16/3/1923 at the Cottage Hospital, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough. Admons London on 25th April to [her brother] John George Ellerton engineer. Effects £1,019".
