The 1841 Census showed that she was no longer living with her parents/siblings. Mary is shown in the 1851 Census for Melsonby, Yorkshire, living with her aunt Elizabeth Bussey (nee Ellerton) and youngest sister Jane at "Laton Moor House". Mary is described on the Census sheet as "unmarried" and a "farmer's daughter".
A notice in the Leeds Mercury announced the marriage of "Mr Hutchinson, jun, of Gerlington [sic: Girlington, near Bradford], farmer, to Mary, daughter of Mr Ellerton, East Appleton" at Catterick in April 1852.
The 1881 Census shows a Mary Hutchinson (aged 62, born in Swale) living with her husband Robert at 81 English Street, Holy Trinity, Kingston-upon-Hull. (Note: Mary Ellerton would have been 59 at the time of the census if one assumes that she was baptised in the same year as she was born).
No obvious trace of Mary (Hutchinson) in the 1901 Census, by which time she had presumably died.
Was her husband Robert related to Mary's mother, whose maiden name was Hutchinson?? This could possibly explain how they met up, as geographically they appear to have been living far apart before they married: Bradford and Melsonby.
