Mouat Keith ELLERTON

In 1871 he was living with his uncle John Ellerton in Paddington, and shown as an "articled clerk to architect"

At the 1881 Census he was living at 166 London Road, Leftwich, Cheshire - along with his wife Annie (24, b. Tarback [near Gateacre]/Lancs.), son George, and a servant.   Morris' Business Directory of 1884 listed Mouat as "architect and surveyor, 24 High Street, Northwich, Cheshire", and in 1886 several advertisements were placed in The Manchester Guardian - "Architect is in immediate want of Articled Pupil ... M.K.Ellerton, High St., Northwich".

The 1891 Census showed Mouat, his family, and a nurse (Annie Pugh)  living at The Curatage, Davenham, Leftwich, in the Rural District of Northwich.

Kelly's 1892 Trade Directory for Northwich included "Mouat Keith Ellerton, architect and surveyor, High Street". Kelly's 1896 Trade Directory for Cheshire showed him at 26 High Street, Davenham, Northwich, while the "Wolverhampton Red Book" for 1897/98 showed him living at Bath Place.
